"After reading all of the reviews, my wife and I made the special effort to stop here on the way to a weekend away. We were very happy we did! The food was great! The young lady taking our order was very knowledgeable about gluten-free requirements for those with sensitivity. My wife appreciated that. She had the pulled tacos on corn tortillas. Her potato salad was outstanding! I opted for the #5 Smashburger. The bacon in it was thick cut. Make the effort to eat here is you're close!"

"I am from Weston, but no longer live here. However, my whole family is still here so we are in town many times a year. I've been so excited to see new businesses come to town and everything get cleaned up, but this restaurant by FAR is the biggest surprise that I've ever had when it comes to Weston. EVER. Never in a million years would I have expected that both my husband and I would be so floored by a restaurant in Weston of all places! When I moved away I moved to the Carolinas and lived there for more than 10 years. I've lived all over the country and the Carolinas have the best barbecue anywhere. Hands down. Texas is the second best. We have never found decent barbecue outside of those places. Even if they claim to be Carolina or Texas style. My husband and I were both absolutely mind-blown when we here last week when we came into town. It is hands down the absolute best barbecue that we have had outside of the Carolinas! Especially the burnt ends! I'm still not able to wrap my mind around the fact that this restaurant is in Weston. My husband had the Giant baked potato with the brown ends on it and all the trimmings and I had a burnt ends taco, pulled pork tacos, and another one. Everything was absolutely phenomenal. The only thing I really can even say that I feel like is lacking is they need a sauce station so you can try the different sauces. They did include two different ones with ours but we wish we had been able to try others. Other than that, I can't complain about anything here. I must also say that the tacos were almost triple as large as what we expected and I couldn't even finish mine haha. Anyway, I am so overjoyed that this is in my old hometown and that I have this to come back to every time we visit. If you have not tried this place you absolutely need to run, don't walk! We wish you all the best in business and will be back soon!"

"The wife liked the loaded macaroni and cheese with pulled pork. I had the platter with brisket, pork belly burnt ends, turkey, Mexican street corn, and baked beans. The brisket was good overall but could have used more smoke. The burnt ends were frankly a disappointment with being more crunchy than typical burnt ends. The beans were good with the burnt ends in the beans being a nice highlight of the meal. The Mexican Street Corn seemed to lack a little something but wasn't bad. The turkey was PHENOMENAL! It isn't on their menu, but a turkey sandwich from them would be a home run. Overall, it is worth stopping by if you're in the area, but I wouldn't drive just to seek it out."

"Everything there is great! I had the pork sandwich with coleslaw and amc and cheese. All were great, filled ne up, and I was still picking at my wife's fries. Definitely want to go here again!"

"I swung by South Texas Barbecue Company on a recent trip to Weston, West Virginia, and it was a welcome break--conveniently just down the street from the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum, perfect for recharging after some spooky sightseeing. As a fellow Texan who's missed that authentic pit-smoked flavor since moving east, I was thrilled to find this spot run by transplants who clearly know their way around a smoker. I ordered the brisket sandwich, and it didn't disappoint: tender, well-smoked beef on a soft bun with a nice peppery bark--no need for extra sauce, and it felt like a little taste of home. The menu's got a fun Tex-Mex edge too, with tacos, sausage, and burnt ends that tempted me for round two. The burgers on the board looked pretty solid as well--juicy and loaded; if we're back this way, I'll have to give one a shot, maybe with the Mexican street corn on the side. Meals run about $12-15, great value for the quality, and the staff was friendly and quick. If you're craving real Texas BBQ in the heart of Appalachia, this one's worth the stop. Solid 5 stars--feels like a hidden home away from home."

"Excellent and quaint restaurant! We were driving from SC to PA and wanted to stop somewhere that wasn't fast food. We are happy we found this gem! The food was amazing and generous portions! I had the chopped chicken sandwich. My husband and son both had the taco platters (pulled pork and burnt ends). We shared sides of Burnt Pork Baked Beans and Mexican Street Corn and cheesecake for dessert. We couldn't finish everything. I asked to try the pineapple salsa that came with the tacos - it truly could be it's own side - so fresh & delicious! The only suggestion we would have is that the burnt ends should be cut smaller to make the tacos a little more manageable to eat. The two young men working the front were wonderful! We will definitely come back on another trip!"

"10/10 food was amazing! I had the taco flight and my friend brisket sandwich and fries. Meat was cooked to perfection. Each taco highlighted every meat they offered and were creatively constructed! Also the service was top notch!"
